This is the first of Nike’s eight-year, $1 billion apparel deal with the NBA. Which massive corporation is responsible for making the league’s jerseys is usually of very little concern to anyone, but Nike has caught everyone’s attention in a bad way by making jerseys that won’t stop ripping. Through the first few weeks of the season, several NBA players have had their jerseys not just torn but completely ripped apart during game action. Look at these crap-ass jerseys: Today, Nike finally got around to addressing the fact that their new jerseys seem to be about as durable as wet paper, telling ESPN that they have plans to fix things: “They are lighter and deliver great mobility and sweat wicking characteristics, and the feedback from players has been overwhelmingly positive. However, during game play we have seen a small number of athletes experience significant jersey tears. We are very concerned to see any game day tear and are working to implement a solution that involves standardizing the embellishment process and enhancing the seam strength of game day jerseys. The quality and performance of our products are of utmost importance and we are working with the NBA and teams to avoid this happening in the future.” I don’t think those “sweat wicking characteristics” are working, either: Good on the NBA for giving Nike $1 billion to outfit its players in what appear to be repurposed knockoffs. Gareth Bale will be in Cristiano Ronaldo s shadow until the Portuguese superstar retires but could ultimately be better than his Real Madrid team-mate, according to former England manager Kevin Keegan.
Having moved to the Santiago Bernabeu for a world-record fee from Tottenham in September 2013, Bale helped Real to a Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League double during his first season in the Spanish capital.
The Wales international endured a testing second campaign, though, and received criticism at times from fans and the media.
Keegan, who has also managed the likes of Newcastle United and Manchester City, believes Bale was unfairly targeted and says the forward can live up to his huge fee.

Juventus stretched their lead at the top of Serie A to four points with a 3-1 win over Napoli at the San Paolo on Sunday.
With nearest challengers Roma held to a 2-2 draw by fierce rivals Lazio earlier on Sunday, Massimiliano Allegri s men took full advantage at a tricky venue historically.
